Shadow flinched at the 'boyfriend' remark, but continued calmly. "As you can tell, he is already taken by the purple cat, and I would never hold any such feelings for him. Well, for starters, I don't think you want Blazegoing against you in any case." He paused and added on unsurely, "And if you need any...assistance, I wouldn't mind...helping." Now, he wasn't so sure about this anymore and hoped that Rouge didn't...abuse his help in any case...

"..." Shadow did not know how to answer this question. He, himself, did not see many things he could do to help her, and nor did he doubt that Rouge wasn't scared of Blaze. "If you need to get out with...the echidna, I can take care of Bijou if Amy does not want to, etcetera...If you need anything, I can always use Chaos Control to obtain it efficiently." He didn't even know why he was doing this for Silver. It seemed totally pathetic in his opinion by now, but...it probably wouldn't work to get all goth-y on his other friend.

Another question Shadow didn't know the answer to. How did she come up with all these? He was about to say Go ask him yourself, but that wouldn't be nice.

Silver, however, had no intention on letting Rouge have her way as far as the blue Emerald was concerned. By her logic, it was his cuz he'd been the one to take it. Besides, he thought of the blue Emerald as being his in any case; whereas he'd given it as a gift to Elise before, that had been to his mind no different to lending it to Shadow. However, he was not about to let Rouge dictate terms and hog all the Emeralds out of no reason other than sheer greed.
