Rouge nodded, "Well, I hope she's really over the crush. I mean, you wouldn't leave me for her, would you?"

[Miranda_]

"Of course not," Knuckles said. "I never even liked her in that way in the first place. It wasn't anything to do with me, it was our parents that arranged the betrothal when we were both hatched."

"I don't understand her either," said Silver. He'd kept true to his word and not told Blaze of how Rouge had kicked him.

Blaze would be furious. O_o "Well, so long as she doesn't cause any troube, then I dont' care much."

[Miranda_]

"She hasn't, not really," Silver said. He wasn't very good at lying, but he didn't want to invite revenge from Rouge if Blaze ever found out that he'd let it slip. O_o

"'Not really'?" Blaze repeated.

[Miranda_]

"I meant, not at all." Silver was looking worried now.

"I know, but I wanted to double-check." Rouge said, "I'm just not very confident about anything in this body. I just hope Tails hurries up - I don't want to be stuck like this."

[spirit_queen]

"Silver? What haven't you told me?" Blaze said. "Don't lie, I know that look."

[Miranda_]

"We can't ask him any more about the gun," Knuckles said. "We'll just have to leave him to it and hope he decides to hurry up of his own accord. Bet Shadow wants him to hurry up, too."

Silver looked horrified. "I can't tell. I promised not to tell!"
