Sonic X - Chaos Control

The girl wondered where he went next, but decided she better get back to class before she got a detention.

*A couple of months later*

Things were progressing on the government end. The Chaos Emerald they had, altho they weren't calling it that, was still stubbornly refusing to yield its secrets but the scientists had a notion that they would soon get results. The government was concerned at the theft so far of the giant emerald from the museum in New York, and of the smaller emerald from the site where it was found. The smaller emerald bore a disturbing similaritly to the one they had; this deemed investigation.

Knuckles was watching the television in the living room. It was raining hard outside, and there wasn't much to do, still. A news report flashed up; apparently, another emerald had been found, in Central Park.

Ooc: Can they please have made up their differences over the interlude? =p

Sonic was sitting next to him, and noticeably sat up straighter when the news report about the emerald came on.

Ooc: It's unlikely, unless Knux did get the chance to put Sonic's head down the toilet for calling him a moron. XD Not being able to get his own back would just make him more mad at Sonic.

"Another strange emerald has been discovered in the fountain in Central Park," said the news reporter. "Due to the fact that the last time such a discovery was made, the gem was stolen by a professional thief, plans are being made to move the emerald to a secret location within the week."

Rouge was definitely looking much rounder in the mid-section by this time. She hadn't confirmed or denied anything to the others, so the only people who knew for sure were herself and Knuckles. The others would probably have some ideas, however. She was sitting on the other side of Knuckles.

"Hey, they called me a professional! We better go get that Emerald quickly, if they're planning on moving it. Central Park is in the middle of the city, so it's not too far away." Rouge said.

"They really want that emerald." Tails said.

"What would they use it for anyway?" Cream asked.

[Miranda_]

Knuckles replied, "Yeah; we'd better head over there right away. And try not to draw any attention to ourselves." He looked pointedly at Sonic.

"Hehehehe, this is gonna be fun. I wonder will eggard turn up this time?"

[Miranda_]

"Probably; he'll probably head over there as soon as he sees this report."
