"What are you doing with that Emerald?" Shadow asked. He didn't really care, but Knuckles tended to make irrational, rash decisions.

"NO RESPONSIBILITY? I'm the one who repeatedly saved the world at large and knothole village while you where sitting blissfully on your chunk of floating muck!"

Then sonic noticed the emerald.

Ooc: Btw, is Knuckles taking the emerald a scripted event, or is Sonic allowed to try and stop him, or what? =P Just hoping I don't accidentally wreck the entire thing. ^^;

Ooc: He can't stop him just yet; I want Knux to get as far as Eggman before someone tries to stop him. XD

"And that is exactly what's wrong with you," growled Knuckles. "It wasn't just you, all by yourself, saving the world; talk about an egomaniac. Seriously Sonic, get help. And none of your business."

Knuckles stepped out the door into the pouring rain. "As if you're going to follow me into the rain, anyway, you hydrophobic."

Ooc: Earlier, Miranda said for you two not to interfere, so yes, it's "scripted". xD

Rouge was in the kitchen, eating and looking out the window. She didn't, at that moment, have a clear view of Eggman, so she didn't realize anything that was going on with the Emerald.

Sonic put one toe out into the rain, with every intent of stopping Knuckles, but he found he wouldn't stand a chance anyway with the rain. He was in luck though. He turned to shadow.

"Shadow! Follow him or something! He might do something crazy!" Sonic urged him.

Knuckles started to walk back to where he knew Eggman would be waiting for him to return with the Emerald.

Eggman was waiting under the protection of the roof of a nearby house.

Sonic stopped trying and stood to watch in the doorway, hopping from one foot to the other.

"Let Rouge go. I don't think that i'd have a good chance of stopping him like Rouge would."

Knuckles was thinking dark thoughts about Sonic all the way up the street.
