Shadow was still in the room, and saw Knuckles come back in a Grumpy mood, mostly directed towards Sonic. What happened? He wondered. He knew that Knuckles and Sonic didn't usually get along, but now it seemed like he hated Sonic for some reason...

He took the Emerald from its place in the room that he shared with Rouge, and walked back down the stairs towards the door.
