1. Only join if you are experienced. The people I consider experienced are as follows; Silent_Wolf, Sarah_K_O_M, spirit_queen, TheHayleyDoll, lone1ryAn. If your name does not appear on that list, please don't spam in the RP or PM me begging to join.
2. RPG forum rules apply. That means no Mary Sues or Gary Stus.
3. The Champions are played on a first come, first served basis. If you don't get there in time, you will have to be an ordinary student, but that's fine, too. You can have two characters, but try and make them diverse; ie both from different schools. Also, remember that Purebloods are still fairly rare; so please, don't let's have too many, m'kay? If your character is a Pureblood and there are already enough, don't drop the dummy if I tell you to edit your character so that they're Halfblood or Muggleborn. The RP begins on the Hogwarts Express; however, if you are playing a Durmstrang or Beauxbatons student, feel free to sidelong post from either the ship or the carriage.
4. For simplicity's sake, this RP is set in a timeline where the tournament wasn't banned. However, the action takes place before Voldemort, so please don't bother referring to modern canon characters. Yes, the families are still around but it would be preferable to invent your own character to play.
5. All students are to be in fifth year if they are taking part in the tournament. For more information on Hogwarts, click here. If you are playing a Beauxbatons student, then you have to pick a French name. If you are playing a Durmstrang student, then pick a Russian name. If you are having trouble with this, then go here.
Teachers At Hogwarts.
Caretaker - Apollyon Pringle
Groundskeeper - Ogg
Care Of Magical Creatures - Silvanus Kettleburn - Ravenclaw HoH
Herbology - Herbert Beery - Hufflepuff HoH
Transfiguration - Albus Dumbledore - Gryffindor HoH
Potions - Horace Slughorn - Slytherin HoH
Defence Against The Dark Arts - Galatea Merrythought
These are the ones I found out that belong to this era. Any others you refer to can be invented, but please try to be realistic when choosing names.
Headmaster of Durmstrang - Ivan Jaska.
Location - A castle in northern Europe, far enough north that days are very short in winter. Likely to be Russia or thereabouts.
Uniform - Fur cloaks, blood-red robes.
Coat of Arms - A two headed eagle surmounting an antlered stag skull on a green field.
Durmstrang, like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is located inside a castle. The castle is only four stories tall and fires are only lit for magical purposes. It has very extensive grounds that include lakes and mountains. In addition, the school is Unplottable; Durmstrang, like other schools, likes to conceal its whereabouts so that the other schools cannot steal their secrets. Durmstrang has the reputation of teaching Dark Arts, and it does not admit Muggleborn students. Despite what the movies insinuated, Durmstrang admits both boys and girls.
Headmistress of Beauxbatons - Felice Chantal.
Location - France, the Mediterranean coast.
Uniforms - Robes of pale blue silk.
Coat of Arms - Two crossed golden wands on a powder-blue field, each emitting three stars.
The Academy's building is called the Palace of Beauxbatons. Rather than a Great Hall as at Hogwarts, the Palace contains a Dining Chamber, which is elaborately decorated at Christmas but in a different style than that used at Hogwarts. The scholastic system at the Academy is also arranged differently than that at Hogwarts; instead of sitting Ordinary Wizarding Levels or their equivalent at the end of five years, Academy students sit exams after six years. Beauxbatons is Unplottable, so no Muggles or even wizards from rival schools can find it on a map, and then it is disguised so that no one can really see it unless they know to look for it. Despite what the movies insinuated, Beauxbatons admits both boys and girls.
Headmaster of Hogwarts - Armando Dippet.
Location - Scotland.
Coat of Arms - All the Hogwarts houses' coats of arms together. The houses and their mascots are as follows; Ravenclaw - Eagle; Hufflepuff - Badger; Gryffindor - Lion and Slytherin - Serpent.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a Scottish boarding school of magic. The castle is in the mountains near a lake. The precise location can never be uncovered as the school is hidden by the most powerful spells possible, and is Unplottable. Spells protecting the castle include anti-Apparition and Muggle-repelling charms, which make the castle appear as an old ruin with a sign that says "Danger, Keep Out" These spells may be lifted by the Headmaster. Most electronic devices do not work on Hogwarts grounds. Hogwarts students are divided into four Houses; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. They were named after the four founders, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin.
Durmstrang - Jakyl Reddings
Hogwarts - Vincent Draven
Beauxbatons - Jacqueline Levesque

Age: (must be at least 15 if entering)
School: (if from Hogwarts, include house)
Class: (as in Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn)
Personality: (include strengths and weaknesses)
Bio: (use this section to tell us about your character)
Name: Vincent Draven
School: Hogwarts, Slytherin
Personality: Clever and skilled; however, Draven is also rude, distant and very prejudiced towards muggleborns. He is also a loner, and tends to be a bit of a bully at times.
Bio: Draven's parents are Alonzo and Megaera Draven. Megaera's mother is Marlinn Gaunt, who is an ancestor of Salazar Slytherin. Draven's mother often has to remain in the family home in order to ensure that her mother, who by now is in the throes of madness, does not cause any trouble amongst Muggles. His parents are against this only due to the trouble it would cause with the Ministry; neither of them like or respect Muggles and forbid any Muggle inventions to be used inside the house. Draven spent a lot of his childhood alternatively being ignored by his parents and given attention by his grandmother, especially after she realised that he had inherited her rare gift of Parseltongue. Draven's parents are wealthy, but care little for their son, taking him only as far as London every year and leaving him to fend for himself after that. Draven has few friends as he is used by now to being alone, and rarely spends any holidays save the summer holidays at home.
Name: Faina Demidova
Personality: Headstrong and impulsive, as well as very stubborn and selfish at times. Faina is a loyal friend, but often does not think before she acts.
Bio: Faina's family live in a small town north from Durmstrang. Her mother is Pureblood and her father a Muggleborn; he died after Faina's younger sister Ekaterina was born. Both Faina and Ekaterina attend Durmstrang; however, Ekaterina was not chosen to go with the students who were considered to be skilled enough to enter the tournament. Faina is very disappointed that her sister is not joining her on the trip to Hogwarts, however she is glad enough to be going altho she doesn't feel that she is good enough herself to be Durmstrang Champion. Faina has had a fairly happy and close family life and, entering her sixth year at Durmstrang, wishes to work with dangerous creatures such as dragons when she leaves school. She has plenty of friends, despite her faults, and is a fairly good student.
Draven sat moodily in the prefect's compartment on the Hogwarts Express, staring at a book in his lap. He wasn't at all pleased about being made a prefect; he prefered to spend as little time as possible in the company of other students, and this wouldn't help matters in the slightest. Draven was by now used to his own company; he had been making the trip to the station and on to the train alone every year that he'd been at the school; his father always just took him into London, then abandoned him promptly to fend for himself, claiming that he couldn't leave his wife to look after her mother alone for too long. Draven suspected it was more to do with the fact that his father just didn't want to be bothered with him, altho he did have a point when it came to the fact that his grandmother could not be trusted alone. She had gone mad several years before; her husband's death had done a lot to turn her brain, tho it hadn't been particularly strong in the first place. Draven's grandmother was viciously anti-Muggle, and if allowed would hex any that crossed her path. Draven's parents' considerations ran more to not wanting to provoke the wrath of the Ministry rather than caring about the wretched Muggles; they despised Muggles and refused to allow any Muggle inventions into their house, or indeed to allow their son to mix with Muggles outside of school. Of course, that could not be avoided at school but Draven himself had no desire to mix with Muggles so abided by his parents' wishes in this case.
Faina hugged her sister Ekaterina hard. "I wish you were coming too," she said, finally releasing her sister.
"Of course, I'll put my name in the Goblet of Fire, but even if I don't get chosen, it'll still be fun to watch the competition."
Ekaterina nodded. "I wish I was coming too, Fay," she replied. "Anyway, good luck and let's hope that Durmstrang win."
"Definitely, Kat," Faina said, determination etched on her face. She shivered slightly as a cold wind blew snow in both the sisters' faces, leaving snow in their hair. Faina smiled slightly. "It might even be warmer at Hogwarts than here. Anyway, I'd better be going; I need to get to the ship before it leaves without me."
She hugged her sister one last time, before walking towards where the huge sailing ship was at anchor in the harbour.
Ekaterina yelled after Faina, "Send me an owl when you get there!" Her sister turned round and nodded, waving as she ran towards the ship in company with other Durmstrang students, each dressed in red robes with fur cloaks.
Name: Jacqueline (Jackie) Levesque
Personality: Feminine, charming, upbeat, and bubbly. Jackie rarely takes things seriously. She can be ditzy and at times, "slow", but she learns fairly quickly when it comes to magic. She also tries to keep all her true feelings to herself, putting a smile on her face whenever humanly possible. She doesn't open up to others easily (secretive). When she is serious about something, she has a tendency to become stubborn. She also tends to be a little vain when it comes to her appearance.
Bio: Jackie speaks fluent French, but only knows enough English to really get by. Her mother, a half-blood, went to Beauxbatons when she was younger, and her father, also a half-blood used to attend Hogwarts before he moved to France when he finished school. Jackie's an only child, and is often spoiled. Though she has no siblings, she has a close-knit group of friends at Beauxbatons. Her family life is often very boring to her, and she's glad she's going to Hogwarts and maybe even participating in the Triwizard Tournament. She's sure she could make Beauxbatons proud if she were chosen. Though, she is probably more excited about the Yule Ball and meeting some nice young men.
Name: Audrey Brooks
School: Hogwarts, Hufflepuff.
Personality: Audrey is definitely very spacey, and often seems to be in her own little world. Audrey isn't smart, but she has her moments - usually when the answer isn't easily found by reading books, but by personal experience. She likes to socialize, and will initiate a conversation with anyone in an attempt to make friends. Audrey can be forgetful, gullible, and flaky/unreliable.
Bio: Audrey comes from a large family, and her older two brothers, Lance and Kevin, as well as her three younger sisters, Flora, Lucy and Marie, never went to Hogwarts. Audrey is one of the middle children, and is used to being ignored, so most of the time that doesn't bother her and she'll just keep talking. Her family lives in the heart of London, in a regular sized home. Her family life is pretty normal, and middle-class. Her parents didn't believe what was happening at first, but after a trip to Diagon Alley, they realized that it was very real. She's a skilled Quidditch player, and is a chaser for the Hufflepuff team. She can't wait for the tournament, even if she's not considering entering because her magic skills aren't so great. She thinks it'll be exciting to watch, and she hopes she'll meet some new friends in the process. After school, she wants to be a musician - she plays the trumpet, either in the wizard or the muggle world.
"Je ne peux pas croire que vous partez, Jacqueline," Jackie's best friend said with a sigh, "Je regrette que je ne puisse pas aller, aussi." She couldn't believe Jackie was leaving, and she really wanted to go with her and her other friends that were leaving.
"Caroline et Michelle vont rester ici et nous enverrons des lettres." Jacqueline told her friend, Juliette, assuring her that they'll send letters and that she won't be completely alone.
They carried on their conversation for a while, before Julliette said goodbye, "Au reviour, Jackie!"
"Au reviour!" Jacqueline waved in reply and went with the rest of the Beauxbatons that were going to Hogwarts. She couldn't wait; this was definately going to be an interesting experience.
Though Draven may had not liked being chosen for a prefect, Audrey was very pleased. She had also been chosen as a prefect, but even she wasn't sure why. She saw this as a good oppertunity to make friends with people she wouldn't normally hang out with, and that was Audrey's favourite past time. After she was dropped off at the train station in London by her parents, she ran to Platform 9 and 3/4 and got on the train, skipping down the aisle until she reached the prefect's compartment. She smiled at Draven and sat down across from him. "Hello," she said, sticking out her hand for him to shake it, "I'm Audrey, I'm one of the new Hufflepuff prefects."
Draven looked at Audrey as tho she was something he'd just scraped off his shoe. He made a grimace, and didn't even try to shake her hand. "Don't talk to me, you filthy little Mudblood. I don't speak to trash like you." His owl, a horned owl, perched nearby and raised its feather tufts warningly.
She took her hand back and shrugged, almost acting as though it had been some sort of joke, she stuck her tongue out, "Too bad, I'm talking to you anyway, so ha!" She looked at the owl and gasped, "He's so cute! Look at him, acting all tough. What's your name little guy?" She asked the owl, almost as thought she expected it to talk to her. xD
Draven glared at her. "Are you stupid or something? I'm telling you right now; either shut up now, or I'll make you. And it won't be pleasant. Also, don't bother talking to my owl; she hates people like you, too."
"Oh, it's a she..." Audrey said quietly to herself. She looked back at the owl, "I'm sorry for calling you a he." Audrey then tried to stay quiet, tapping her foot and looking out the window, hoping someone else would join them soon so she could talk to them, since Draven was being so rude. Of course she was used to that behaviour by now, and she just felt that Draven was ignorant and that maybe he'd eventually see Purebloods and muggleborns as equals.
That was very unlikely to ever happen. Draven picked up the book that he'd left on the seat beside him and opened it. He couldn't summon up much enthusiasm for the tournament, but he was still going to enter. His parents would expect it of him.
Name: Leela Smarth
School: Hogwarts, Ravenclaw
Class: Essentially, pureblood; however, her father is a Squib.
Personality: Generally perky, a bit spacy as well. Most of the time, insults just go over her head; this can get her into trouble though, as this usually means things that teachers say also go over her head. She's generally a nice kid.
Bio: Leela was born to a witch and a Squib; her father's parents were both from wizarding families, but had no ability in it whatsoever. So when she's asked what she is, she's not entirely sure what to say and just says her grandparents are purebloods. She grew up a peculiar kid, not because she had magical ability, but also because of being a Metamorphagus. While she tends to keep to her original appearance, she can't resist changing her hair color at random. However, if she does it too much, she finds she gets weirdly dizzy. She has a white-speckled brown owl that her grandfather gave her; his name is Free Bird. While her mother expects her to excel at Hogwarts and become an Auror, Leela really has no interest in it and would rather be a musician; she's a talented guitarist and usually instead of studying for her tests, is playing songs from muggle and magic bands. She's also fond of Quidditch, and played Chaser. She isn't very thrilled at being a prefect; but if Dippet picks a Prefect there's got to be a reason, right?
Name: Eugene "Gene" Arnaude (Insult nickname, "Genny")
Personality: Eugene is a bookworm; he hates confrontations, and as such rarely speaks up. He's almost maniacally shy and tends to keep to herself. Get him started on something he's interested in - books, mainly, or Quidditch - and he'll go on for hours. He's a loyal friend once you get past his shy exterior. However, as he's very booklearned he seems rather haughty.
Bio: From a young age, Eugene (Or Genny, quite an unfortunate nickname) was a quiet, introverted child; as soon as he learned to read, he read books almost constantly and was rarely without a book in his arms. If at all possible he'll go through one or even two a day, depending on what he's doing, and her parents have berated him for it too; his father was a rugby player and his mother a ballet dancer, and neither saw point in a higher education for him. However, the minute he was told he was accepted to Beauxbatons, he was thrilled to finally be living in what he almost perceived to be a dream. He's very clumsy with magic however and has accidents frequently. Most recently being an attempt at turning water into Pepsi... O_o His left eyebrow is still an odd brownish-red.
Leela, today with her signature short green hair, walked down the aisle of the train car, whistling a song under her breath. Now where's the prefe- Ohh sh*t, not Draven. Ugh. She made a face before sliding open the door. ".. Ah, where's a free seat?" She forced a smile before sidling in and sitting down as far away from Draven as possible. Her owl was perched on her shoulder; Free Bird hated cages. However, that wasn't why that was his name; he appeared to like a lot of Muggle bands. XD He peered over at Draven and made a noise, but otherwise stayed quiet.
Eugene was behind Jacqueline on the way to the carriage; he'd come alone, as his parents were both busy that day. I wonder what it's like at Hogwarts. It's supposed to be huge. He sighed and waited for Jacky to climb into the carriage.
Apart from the merest flicker of his eyes, Draven ignored Leela. He despised Squibs almost as much as he despised Muggleborns. Draven idly wondered about his grandmother, and whether or not his parents had succeeded in keeping her out of trouble. His grandmother was completely mad, and was usually kept to her rooms, usually with one of the house elves there to keep her company. She had an unfortunate tendency to attack Muggles, and Muggleborn wizards. O_o
