Leela didn't see the Thestrals, and climbed up nonchalantly into one of the carriages; she'd forced Free into a cage and was holding it in her lap. She'd let him out when they were closer to the school.

Draven had been able to see the Thestrals since the year before when his grandfather had died. His mother had literally dragged him into the room and forced him to be at his grandfather's deathbed. His grandmother had gotten distinctly crazier after that. He climbed into a carriage, his owl Nectaris on his shoulder.
Neither Dulcinea or Nashira could see the Thestrals; both just climbed into carriages, Nashira with a gaggle of second year Slytherins, Dulcinea into Draven's carriage. ![]() |

Leela was sitting with the other Ravenclaw prefect, a few Hufflepuffs and a Gryffindor or two; she wasn't really paying any attention. She was wishing she had a walkman. XD

It was dark, and somewhat windy as the carriages made their way to Hogwarts. The first and second years would have to go to bed right after the feast, but the other students could stay in their common rooms a bit longer. All trunks were taken up to the dormitories while the students were at the feast.

Draven was, too. He liked Hogwarts a lot; much better than his house, which was always cold and unwelcoming.
All the students were filing into the Great Hall. The House tables were filling up with students, each at their requisite table. Draven walked towards the Slytherin table at the back of the Hall. ![]() |

Leela headed to the Ravenclaw table; she was just glad to get away from her weird mother. xD Honestly, her father was more normal than her mom, who had a weird penchant for cats and had tons around the house. O_o

Audrey always liked watching the first years being sorted into their houses. She thought it spoke a great deal about a persons personality, especially when the Sorting Hat would consider multiple houses for a single person. By using this, Audrey could generally tell who she'd get along with, and she loved making new first year friends.
Logan, on the other hand, thought the sorting ceremony was long and boring. Sure, he cheered for the first couple first years to join Hufflepuff, but after a while, his cheering grew to a more silent clap and he wouldn't even be looking up at who it was that joined his house. He did quite like the food though. As thin as he was, he loved to eat, and had a fast metabolism. [Visit my dA]
