Mina nodded, then continued to her own room. She changed into some sweatpants and a tanktop, then wore macasins for her shoes (she'd prefer going bare-foot, but she'd attract too much attention doing that). She tested her ponytail to make sure it was still tight, then grinned; the search had officially begun.

The man in the vents had settled down for the night in the large area above the cell blocks; he'd 'borrowed' some sheets and had made a hammock out of them on the ceiling of the vent. He wasn't actually sleeping, more relaxing than anything else.

At the moment, Mina was wandering around tasting the air; due to the way he crawed around in the vents, the air was actually full of his scent. She had to be sure to conentrate on the more recent stuff.

He turned his head, listening to the sounds that echoed around from the vent covers; he could barely hear somebody walking around, but dismissed it for now.

Mina now detected what could only be his current scent. She began to follow it. She was moving slowly and cautiously, her weight carefully shifted to create as little noise as possible, like a big cat stalking its prey. But she didn't intend to actually harm Ridd'ck, or even alert anyone to his presence.

This was around the point that Ridd'ck noticed the even fainter footsteps were getting closer. However, he still didn't move, but turned his head so he could look at the opening the vent hall the footsteps were coming from.
