"I lost a bet. I was forced to come and see what you were doing. Who's the guy behind the statue? And that other girl that just left, who was she?" He raised a brow. "I hope not humans, Perdita. Dad wouldn't approve."

[Miranda_]

"The girl who left was bothering me. I wasn't aware there was anyone else. In any case, you should know by now; I don't take out humans who aren't doing me any harm." Perdita brushed some dust from her sleeve. "I suppose Othello sent you; this is just his idea of a joke."

"Come on, Perdy. Lighten up." He paused, "I swear I saw someone run behind the statue. I'll just take a look." So Sebastian peeked behind the statue.

[Miranda_]

Flynn was long gone by this time. He wasn't stupid, and knew that Perdita would contact him as soon as it was safe.

Perdita knew this, which was why she had kept Sebastian talking so that Flynn would have long enough to make his escape. "Seeing things, are we?"

Sebastian was flustered. How could he have been 'seeing things'? He was sure he saw someone else. Perhaps it was just a glint in my sunglasses, he thought. "Meh. It doesn't matter. I went through with my dare, and I couldn't care less about anything else. You coming back to the mansion now, Perdita?"

[Miranda_]

She sighed. "I suppose so. I hunted earlier, after all."

Sebastian nodded. He went back up the hill with Perdita. Upon entering, he grinned to the others, "You call that challenging? Only took me ten minutes, tops."

[Miranda_]

Othello looked superior. "As it happens, I had money on you finding Perdita that quickly. I'm glad you didn't disappoint me in that, at least."

Sebastian shrugged, "I'm not one to disappoint now, am I? Anyone up for a game of poker?" He grinned.

[Miranda_]

"Sure. Just as long as you're prepared to lose again." Othello gave a shrug. "Ty isn't around; he's probably gone down the town to see what he can pick up. His loss."
