"Cuz we don't want to draw attention to ourselves til we know exactly what it is we have to do here."

[spirit_queen]

Jass sighed. "That person who opened the portal left the threads of magic half-finished."

[Miranda_]

"And they did so without due care and attention; the door opened here, and not where they are. Plus, I expect others will follow later thru the door."

[spirit_queen]

"Maybe the humans forgot how to open the portals, which is why they did it so badly." Jass said.

[Miranda_]

"I wonder why they opened one in the first place."

[spirit_queen]

"Maybe... maybe they hate what other humans have done. Maybe they want help; not all humans like this, surely?" Jass said.

[Miranda_]

Kaori was cynical. "More likely, they wanted to hurt other humans. What I've seen of humans so far today, makes that more likely. Anyway, let's try and find a place with grass and trees if such a place exists, then we can go out one by one to forage."

[spirit_queen]

"To the country!" Jass said.

[Miranda_]

"If it still exists."

As a matter of fact, they soon came accross a park in the centre of the city.

Ooc: I guess they're in NY, NY after all. I've been there recently.

"Look! There are giant rocks upon which people are sitting, and strange structures that children climb upon!" Jass said. She was referring to a playground in the heart of Central Park, with many young children running about; most of the supervirsors and guardians sat on benches or the largw rocks that had been placed there.
