Link mooched down to the basement. Destiny was there, feeding Chaos. The food had a tasteless sedative mixed into it. She wanted to run a few tests before they fixed him, make sure there was no complications. Link gave her a nod. She stood up, wiping off her hands.

"Hey, kid. How're you fitting in?"

"Okay. They're all weirdos though."

"How come?

"They're all afraid of you."

"And?" she folded her arms, "Why wouldn't they be?"

Link laughed. "Oh come on. Look at you. You're a five foot pencil. I could take you in a fistfight with my hands tied."

She tilted her head. "Want to try?"

"You can't be serious." he said with disbelief, "You'd get pasted."

"I'm a doctor. I'll live. Come on, kid. You against me in the sitting room. The carpet is softer than this

"Fine, if you want."

She grinned. "Oh, I do."

Chaos ate the food like an animal would, by putting his mouth down to the food. O_o The sedative made him drowsy, and he soon lay down to sleep.

Rian was in the living room, on the best sofa.

Destiny went up to tell Matt to run the tests.

"I'd do them myself but I have to go kick Link's ass."

[Silent_Wolf]

Rick looked at Matt. "I told you."

[Miranda_]

"And I agreed." Matt turned to Destiny. "Sure. I just need to save the updated files, then I'll do them."

He saved the files and switched the computer off.

"I'm only sad I'll miss the fight."

"Well, it won;t last long. You can go look at it before you do the tests, I guess."

[Miranda_]

"Thanks, wouldn't miss it for the world." He followed Destiny back to the living room.

Link was there, sitting on the couch. When Destiny came in he stood up.

"Ready, kid?"

"Sure."

The two faced each other. Link swung first, aiming for her face.

Destiny sidestepped neatly, smacked him upside the head and kicked him in the back of the knee. He fell down on one knee, holding himself up from a faceplant with his hands. She grabbed his other leg and pulled it out from under him and he ended up landing facefirst on the carpet. She put her foot on the back of his neck.

"Give?"

"Give, give."

Rian started laughing. "Bad idea, kid. Bad idea. Oh, and if you're bleeding, mind the carpets."

Destiny took her foot away. Link picked himself up, his face red.

"Oh, don't look so embarrassed, kid. Tougher guys than you have gotten smacked by me." she said, patting his shoulder. "Come on. Let's go get some cake."
