"Mum? What's all this about?" Nathan asked.

"Yeah, you're freaking us out." Mai said.

"Sweethearts, we have something to tell you." Destiny and David exchanged glances.

"Your mother and I are getting a divorce."

"Now, we still like each, we're just not in love anymore."

Both Mai and Nathan looked aghast. Their parents started reassuring them and after a while they were comforted.

"Now, shoo. Go out and have some fun, okay?"

"Yes, mum." both kids said shuffling out.

Destiny sat back, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Well, that was easier than I thought." she said, then grinned up at David and ruffled his hair. "Now you'll be able to go after all the fancy women you want," she said teasingly.

"God knows you'll be the hard act to follow," he said, smiling back. 2And I guess you'll get to go after your fancy man too, huh?"

"Don't say that. It's not like that at all."

"You know I'm right though."

"... Blah." she stuck out at him. "So there."
