"With the Enchantress Skulls change routes around us." Kaine said, looking quite proud of that.

[Miranda_]

"I could live with that. I hate the b@stards."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Then by all means, next time we get a ship in range of the cannons, you can have the first shot."

[Miranda_]

Nikki nodded, grimly. "It was a Skull who scarred my face beyond any help. The healer on the Dolphin did his best, but said that there was no healing of my face beyond stopping infection. That's when I bought the mask."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Yeah, I was wondering why you wear it." Kaine said, touching his own face and wincing in sympathy.

[Miranda_]

"He died after being stabbed in the groin and heart, but even so; I'm the one who has to live with the scarring."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Well, it's not hopeless.There's very skilled Healers here and there."

[Miranda_]

"I'm a bit cynical about that, but if we ever find one, I'll pay anything they want if they can cure me." Nikki packed up the last of her things and stood up. "I only have to pay for the time I've stayed in this room, then we can go."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Okay then." Kaine stuck his hands into his pockets and and wandered after her.

Nikki paid the barman for her room, then walked out of the inn into the street.
