"Naw, it's fine." Johnny said. He started to prepar eot cook them.

[Silent_Wolf]

Nyx cracked some eggs into a bowl. "... So, um, how long have you been here?"

"A few years." Johnny said. "My dad kicked me out of the house when he learned I was a mutant, said he didn't want his house to be 'tainted', or something equally stupid." He put the sausages in the pan, and started naming them. XD

[Silent_Wolf]

"Huh. ... I started looking like this, the red skin thing, when I was ten, it started out as a really bad sunburn but it didn't go away. Then I got this thing and the rest is kinda history." She flicked her tail. "... then about a week ago I managed to set the house on fire in my sleep..."

O.O "Jeez. Talk about suckish."

[Silent_Wolf]

"I don't know what happened, one minute I'm having a horrible nightmare then the next I'm awake and the house is bright yellow and oranges. That was the last straw for my parents. ... I didn't even know I could use fire until that point.."

"Ouch." Johnny said, wincing.

Shamus came in at that point. "If we're talking about parents, mine were fine with me til I grew a tail, then it was out the door for me. I could use a cap to hide my ears, but not a tail... I also developed my psychic power at that point, too. By the way, the power's on; Paul fixed it. We still need to get Jez back tho; Paul doesn't quite have the technique yet. Besides, I miss Jez. He was the only person here who was on my wavelength."

Johnny didn't say it, but when Jez was around, Shamus tended to mess with him less and not call him emo as much. XD "Yeah. We need to get everyone out of that containment place."

[Silent_Wolf]

"Wavelength as in?" Nyx was whisking the eggs; her tail was looking for something in the fridge.
