Shamus could cook, to some extent, but he only made things that he personally liked. Right now, he was sorting out the electrics supply with Paul, who'd taken Jez's shape.

"That and I can't cook eggs, obviously. Here's a good lesson for you; never use your ability to try to clean frying pans. Take my word for it."

"... Why?"

"I melted a frying pan."

"That was funny." Johnny said. "The look on your face, Raina, was sooo priceless!"

"Don't make me put you in a cage again, John."

Nyx just shook her head and opened the fridge; Raina poked her. "Don't keep it open too long, I'm still waiting for Shamus to let us know the power's on and the only reason nothing's gone bad yet is because I bought a ton of ice the other day." -.-

Meep! No cages!" Johnny said, shrinking away from Raina.

"Good man." She nodded and looked around for Nyx. "Where'd she go?"

"Over here, in the pantry, trying to find seasoning spice for hashbrowns. ... You got any Lawry's?"

Johnny went in to help Nyx. "Found it!" Johnny said after a moment of searching.

[Silent_Wolf]

"Thanks. Hashbrowns taste weird without this. ... Now to find actual hashbrowns instead of shredding potatoes..." She put the seasoning on the counter and opened the freezer.

Raina shook her head. "Don't tell me, you took a cooking class?"

"No, just learned a lot of weird things from my mom."

"Huh. My mom never cooked, didn't have the time." Johnny never said why she never had the time for anything, and chances were he never would.

[Silent_Wolf]

"My mom was the only one who could cook besides me and my stepsister." She scratched her nose, thinking. "... Wonder where she went anyway, she kinda disappeared now that I think about it..." She shrugged and found some shredded potato in the freezer. "This'll work."
