"Unlike Jem, but you'll never cure him of that," said Aiden. "It's like what you were saying before; the different attitudes."

"Exactly; where I grew up, I was decent off, though poor by most American and European standards, and had little need to steal because there was no one to steal from. Why steal form your neighbor when he's as poor as you are, or poorer? Jem, however, lived an entirely different life; his bad habits were survival habits where he grew up."

"Exactly; if he'd lived where you did, he could have been a different person. And you might have been, if you'd lived in his neighbourhood."

"I don't want to know what I'd be like if I'd lived his life." Dji said. "Especially Rose."

[Miranda_]

"Yeah; doesn't bear thinking about."

[spirit_queen]

"Exactly." Djimon said. He looked over and stared when he saw Gen return with a humongous bowl of several flavors of ice cream. XD "Sweet tooth, muh?"

"Yup!" Gen said, beaming and digging a spoon into her bowl of chocolate, mint choco-chip, vanilla fudge swirled, and choco-peanut butter ice cream filled bowl.

Aiden looked away. "Rather you than me; just looking at that is giving me toothache."

"I have excellent teeth, see?" Gen said, beaming ad her boyf. And it was true; her teeth were a nice pearly white, not the fake white seen on toothpaste commercials. "Though I was little more than a lab-rat to him, my papa made sure I always was in perfect health. Thus, I have a lot of healthy habits. Typically, I brush at least lightly every time I eat something, or drink something corrosive and sugary like soda pop or juice."

"I meant that I don't really like sweet things, normally."

"Oh." Gen said, blushing.

"Well, she more than makes up for that, doens't she?" Djimon said. Though she'd only had the bowl a minute or two, most of the ice cream was gone. O.o
