"Nice to meet you too." Okeam smiled.
~~~~~ Killie was forcefully brought to the office when it was realized she had come back already; she was handcuffed, and thrown to the floor. She started giggling, knowing what was going on; however, it was quite a subdued giggle, and she only grinned enough to show a little of her teeth. "Killie." The superior kicked her arm to try and get her to stop laughing; it only seemed to make her laugh harder. "Stop laughing!" She stopped, but there was still a faint 'heehee' underlying that grin. "You're a traitor. You know exactly what we do with traitors, Killie." "Mm-hmm." Killie's grin became wider. It was unnerving the superior. "On your knees. Now." The superior took out a revolver and pulled back the hammer. One of the guards grabbed Killie's left shoulder and pulled her up. "And stop grinning." She didn't, and the superior sighed in irritation before putting the gun against the forehead of Killie's mask. "You are hereby terminated." For some reason, Killie pitched forward a bit, knocking the gun away and starting to act as though she were going to vomit. The superior backed away, not wanting anything on her shoes, and then Killie spat out something round and black. She lifted her head and grinned. "Can't I have a smoke?" The sphere exploded into thick black smoke that filled the room and eeked into the hall, and Killie jumped to her feet easily, laughing loud and hard. "They didn't call me the Packrat when I was a kid for nothing, sweet cheeks!" She ran from the room, leaving the superior and the two guards to cough in smoke. All over the Malus base, similar smokebombs went off, filling the place with a dark gray fog. She opened the door to her room with her shoulder and grabbed her backpack with a hand, looking around; it was basically empty now, everything she'd had fit into her backpack and suitcase. The suitcase was outside under a tree that had lifted itself somewhat from the ground. "... Dammit." She sighed; she'd forgotten to grab the keys to the handcuffs. With one last glance around the room, she ran up the hall to the staircase. The door was open, as she hadn't closed it when she came back, and she grabbed her suitcase the minute she saw it, running off into the forest with her hands and luggage behind her back. "So, what do you do here?"
The Malus people staggered around, trying let out the smoke somehow before they all choked. Killie was ignored in the confusion. If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster. -Isaac Asimov "I have not come this far to die now." - Nick, L4D2
"Electrician. My sister works down in the engine room. We also do minor medical work, like prosthetic limbs. If you meet Jadzia, you'll see what I mean." Okeam hit herself in the forehead. "Alvin, I'm still working on your new leg, it's almost done."
The smoke would eventually just go away on its own through the ventilation system. Killie sat down by the river some ways away, dropping her bag and suitcase, and she wriggled her arms in the handcuffs, wondering how to get them off. ".. I really f**ked up. How'd they catch me," she muttered. Far, far beyond the island, we dwelt in shades of twilight, through dread and weary days, through grief and endless pain. It lies unknown, the land of mine!
