There were two scents; one by the door, the other by the ouija board, but there was more activity around the board. Shamus wondered what they found so interesting about it; he'd never seen it activated so didn't know what it could do.

Rascal kept scratching at the table the board was on and continued to whine incessantly.
Killie opened the door to her room and shut the door behind her when she stepped inside, and she sat down with her back against it, throwing her mask across the room; it shattered in a corner, and she hugged her knees and buried her face in them, trying to not cry.
