"That's good, in a way," Star said. "It means that at least a few of these children ended up in a happy family."

[Silent_Wolf]

"Yeah." Jadzia went back to the list of adoptees. "There's a cat kid named Chase, then a girl named Raina; she could use lasers."

[Miranda_]

"Adopted out, by genuine families? I know it's a bore to check, but it'll help in the long run to know."

[Silent_Wolf]

"Yep. Raina got adopted by a family where both parents are lawyers; I know about the mom, she's definitely genuine; Chase was adopted by a family that just loved him to bits."

[Miranda_]

"It's good to know that there are people around who care about these kids and don't just take against them, just cuz they're mutants."

[Silent_Wolf]

"Yeah. I imagine that the family that adopted Chase thought he was adorable; I mean, just look at him. I even want to hug him, and I'm not huggy at all." O_o

[Miranda_]

Star looked at the photo; it showed a four year old boy with black hair, black cat ears and tail, and yellow eyes. He did indeed look adorable. XD

[Silent_Wolf]

Jadzia actually squealed. XD "Aw, I just wanna hug him." She looked up some of the other adopted kids; Raina had been four years old as well, and had brown hair and gray eyes. "I wonder why that Fern girl didn't get adopted. There's no reason listed." O_o

[Miranda_]

"Probably just one of the unlucky ones who just didn't get picked; or maybe her mutantcy put them off."

Star looked down the list. "Boy called Aiden; not adopted cuz of his power."

[Silent_Wolf]

"Poor kid." Jadzia checked Carin's file. She had white-blond hair as a kid, with bright blue eyes. "Well, she looks normal, guess it might've been a personality clash that put people off. Can you look for Fern's file? I can't find it now, it was here a minute ago."
