Liam nodded. "I took it tho, cuz it was the only thing that helped. But that's all the doctors ever did; they just prescribed more and more."

"I gathered that. It just was easier to get hold of and cheaper than gin."

Alvin just sighed and handed him the bottle of antidepressants. "You take one in the morning and one at night. I'd usually reccommend you take them with food or something, but you can't eat so you should be fine."

Liam took the bottle. "I guess I could try it and see if it works. How long before anything happens?"

"I'd give it a couple of days to a week. I know you'd probably rather have instant reaction to it but that's not how medicine works now." She scratched the back of her head. "If you begin experiencing strange side effects like an urge to gamble, let me know and I'll find a different one for you to use. There was this one that got taken off the market, made all the people who used it want to gamble incessantly." O_o

"I doubt that'll happen. All those people were probably blaming the medicine and wanted to gamble anyway. I've never had that urge."
