Michelle was just anxious to avoid Snape's wrath as much as possible, so she obsessively checked each ingredient to ensure she put them in at the right order and right amount.

Leela practically had the paper with her notes on it taped to her face; she couldn't see the paper well, and had her face fairly close to it.

[Miranda_]

Snape was, as usual, walking among the cauldrons, criticising and making snarky comments at those who'd made grevious errors; like a Hufflepuff boy who'd managed to set his potion on fire. O_o

Leela was wondering how he'd managed that. O.o

Iris kept her head down.

[Miranda_]

Michelle would normally whisper with Iris, but didn't dare. She too wondered how the boy had managed to set the potion alight. Luckily, the cauldron between her and Iris was full of a reasonably well made potion, enough to pass muster.

"Think it's good enough?"

[Miranda_]

"Think so," whispered Michelle. She took a quick glance at her notes, then at their potion. "It says that silver vapour should be rising from it; yeah, it should pass." A light silver mist rose from their potion; of course, Michelle certainly didn't expect praise from Snape, seeing as he only handed that out to the Slytherins, but at least they should be spared any of his sarcastic remarks.

"Oh good."

"This was a really difficult potion, too."
