Mischa walked over to the netting, "Why are you allowed to be free?" She asked quietly.

[Miranda_]

"I'm not free, what gave you that idea?" Jett replied sarcastically.

[TheHayleyDoll]

"You're more free then I am. You get to do stuff. I'm stuck here."

[Miranda_]

"Don't worry, once you're trained up, you'll get to be like me and be someone's pampered pet." Jett spoke with bitterness formed over almost an entire lifetime as a pet. He'd been sold from the breeder's at age five and had lived with Ella and Callum ever since. He was now 16 years old.

"What if I'm sold to someone like that sleazy guy at the auction? And I rather be a pet then stuck in here."

[Miranda_]

"You won't be. You're going to be sold as a pet, which means you'll be registered as one. So, you won't be able to be sold to be a dancer. They're registered under concubines."

Mischa let out a sigh of relief. "That's good. My last owner treated me like a pet until this thing that happened... I don't talk about it."

"Better hope that you're sold to someone who won't treat you like fluff, like Ella treats me."

"What's so bad about that."

[Miranda_]

"Only someone completely ignorant would say that," replied Jett, looking annoyed. "She acts like she doesn't hear me if I talk. She puts ribbons in my hair and on my tail. She dresses me up and takes me to shows. She acts as tho I'm completely stupid, like a lapdog."
