She froze when she saw Josh walk in the class. He made eye contact with her, and he didn't recognize her. She felt like laughing, but didn't, as Josh sat next to her. He studied her face for a minute, and then blinked. "Oh, wow," he hit his hand with his palm. "Very nice," he commented, his voice quiet.     |

After attendance, gym became a study-hall. Karen was alienated. Most of the kids here have known each other half their lives. She felt like an intruder, a fake. And she was... she realized this wasn't her world, her reality. This wasn't some acting game, this was life. Life in a world completely foreign to her.
Ooc: Guys, has it ever occurred to you we might need some ordinary charries? Like I play someone in Hayley's, Hayley in Singer's, Cheetah in mine... etc? Otherwise, it's hard to get that "new kid at new school" feel...  |

Josh groaned. "Ashleigh, we should talk about this later," he said, looking to find that half the class was now looking at him.
Steph nodded. "Right...sorry." Just then, a girl walked up with a group of girls behind her. "Hey. What's your name?" she asked, looking from Josh to "Ashleigh". "I'm Josh," he said, putting a fake smile on. "Ashleigh," Steph said, a genuine smile on her face. "You're new, right? Well, maybe we could, like, sit together at lunch or something. I'm sure you would love some great friends." Josh and Steph looked at each other, and Steph shrugged. "Cool. At lunch, then." Just then, Steph noticed the guy. "Um...hey. Sorry...I'm Ashleigh. What's your name?" ooc: There we go. Ordinary people. xD |
