Yumi woke up to the sound of her bell.
Nani? I'm late for school? Oh well.
She jumped out of her bed, dressed, and started running to school.
The first period bell rang loudly.

Madison heard the bell ring and saw she was also in five-one-five. "I'm thinking fifth floor...do we even have a fifth floor?" she asked.
Kyle sighed and looked at the ground. "No pie..."

Yumi rushed through the doors.
It was the first day; she hoped they wouldn't be too hard on her.
She kept running, nearly tripping twice, but managing to hold herself up.
Finally, Yumi stopped, breathless, at room 515.
"Here it is..." She said, when finally managing to.

Karen shook her head. "The secretary gave me a map. The newr half of the building is the four, fives and seven hundreds. The older part is the ones, twos, and three hundreds." Karen bit her lip, examining the map. She waved her finger around, trying to get a heading, then she pointed to some stairs. "We go, uh, that way!" She said.

Yumi heard a few people shouting downstairs.
They're even later than me.
After debating with herself, she sprinted down the staircase, panting and sighing.
When she got there, she pointed up the stairs.

And Maddy's name is now Madison. I'm not used to Madeline. xD

Kyle sighed. "Can't you find your own way around the building, Mads?"

I feel more alive when I'm running.
When they got there, she opened the door.
"You're late," the teacher said strictly.

With the help of a trusty map, they eventually found their homeroom. Karen sighed as she slipped into the seat, and the teacher was obivously waiting a few extra minutes for people lost like them.

This room was ugly, with yellow walls and cream floors, with only a few teacher's posters for decoration. How dull. Karen thought sadly.

Madison sat down next to the girl, and Kyle sat behind Madison. He started throwing wads of paper at her head. "Kyle..." she said in a low growl. He laughed and threw one at the other girl.
