Rika giggled. She liked the kisses her mom gave her. She kept poking him happily.

As did Xander like his mom, but his mom and his friend were two completely different people.

Rika crawled over to a pillow and sucked on one of the corners.

Svana got off Xander and started playing with this mini piano toy-thing.

Xander didn't know what he wanted to do.

Shaun had sent his email and was reading upstairs in his room.

Cecelia Francesca Victoria Waite was both excited and upset to see the e-mail from her son. she was excited because he finally seemed to have found himself a woman, but upset because his children appeared several months old. How could his girl go through pregnancy and his children age several months without him telling her?

Cecy picked up the phone and called; she wanted to hear Shaun's voice, not just chat with e-mail.

Shaun picked up his phone. "Hello?" he said cautiously, having already seen his mother's number on the display.

"Oh! Shauny-boy! What have you been up to?" Cecy said, recognizing her son's voice immediately. "I mean, you have two children several months old now, and haven't told me this long? Oh! I feel betrayed!" Cecy was a bit of a drama queen at times.

Shaun wasn't really sure how to explain this. "Well, we've been kind of busy with stuff; I don't get that much paternity leave, so I guess I just wanted to spend as much time with the kids as I could before going back to work."

"You're still on paternity leave? But your children look at least eight months old in this picture!" Cecy said, confused.
