"A professional...?" Freya sighed. "I refuse to see a professional. They don't know us and I don't feel like telling them about my life. Maybe counselling isn't a good idea..." She stood up and started walking upstairs.

Athena sighed heavily and put her head in her hands.

[Miranda_]

"There's no getting thru to her. She's just so self centred; she thinks it's all about her. She didn't even listen to a word I said, just brought the focus back on herself." Loki rolled his eyes in anger; there was a spark of red in them.

Freya sat up in her room on the bed. Rika was sleeping, Loki was downstairs, and things weren't going well. She wanted to just end the relationship as she really didn't see it being fixed anytime soon, but she knew Loki wouldn't let her; he could be incredibly controlling. She didn't think things would get better, but she thought they could definitely get worse. There was something she hadn't told Loki yet. Something that he wouldn't like much.

Loki wanted to go upstairs too, but he didn't have a room of his own so he couldn't be alone. He didn't want to let his bad side take over again; he spent every waking moment fighting against it. It would be so easy to just give in, but that wouldn't be right. He just felt that Freya didn't care about him... why else would she want to give up on their relationship?

Freya cared about Loki plenty, she just wasn't sure where their relationship was headed. Counselling wasn't working, and neither was just going without it. She wanted to talk to him alone. Maybe they could talk it out. Freya had to tell him a secret. Afterall, it couldn't stay secret for long.

Loki slowly went up the stairs. He didn't know if this was a good idea, but he couldn't just do nothing.

Freya appeared almost to be waiting for him. It wasn't like he could avoid her all night, anyway.

He walked into the room, his head down. This was, if Freya only noticed, an unusual pose for Loki. The truth was, he was tired of all the fighting.
