"Please try it then. I don't want to end up providing yet more scope for teasing by looking like a puffball."

[spirit_queen]

"You're a cute puffball, though." Athena said as she began to brush him.

[Miranda_]

"I just don't want to be made fun of for two days running."

[spirit_queen]

"Though Freya seems to like you as a puppy." Athena said with a giggle. "The first time, she was all petting you, and showring you with attention."

[Miranda_]

"That's the first and only time she's ever shown me anything like that. Anyway, Loki doesn't like me, and he'll just do his best to prank me as many times in the next two days as possible."

[spirit_queen]

"Well, you don't really help the situation; by acting like an easy target, you become the target." Athena said. "That's kind of how his mind works, in a way. I'll bet he always used to feel like everyone was out to get him, so he made a habit of getting everyone else, first; especially you, for the only way you could get him back was locking him out of Asgard."

[Miranda_]

"Yeah but back then I had Odin to back me up a lot of the time, so it was easier to stand up to Loki."

[spirit_queen]

"Well, now you have to find some way to earn respect in his eyes." Athena said. "Took me a while, but he probably respected me for my perception skills. He and Freya were together, but hiding it from me, and I needed a way to proove that they were together." athena smirked at the memory. "So I kissed Loki, and Freya couldn't help but react to that, proving my theory correct."

[Miranda_]

"I doubt he'll ever respect me for anything. At least normally we're on a level playing field; right now, we're not."

[spirit_queen]

"Well, who knows? Let's hope that, after the shadows, you two can sort of start over." Athena then finished brushing him. "There! You look... well... only a bit better..." Athena tried to laugh, as he still looked like a stuffed animal.
