"I'll get him." Heimdall was worried too; he went to get Xander straight away and brought him to Athena.

[spirit_queen]

Xander was screaming extremely loudly, and Svana just finished feeding. She set Xander in her lap, then took out Svana. "Heimdall will you burp her?" she held out Svana.

[Miranda_]

Heimdall took Svana and burped her. Too late he remembered that babies often threw up when they were burped.

[spirit_queen]

Svana spit up a litle, but barely at all.

Athena tried to calm Xander, but he wouldn't stop crying. Then, his little fingers wrapped around Athena's pinky, and he stuck her pinky in his mouth. But he didn't suck, he gnawed on it.

Athena's eyes widened, for Xander had a tooth. "Heimdall, Xander's teething!" She exclaimed. "What in heaven's name is going on? He's less than a month old!"

[Miranda_]

"Maybe it's cuz of him being your baby... is Svana doing that as well? I wouldn't know." He wiped the bit of baby sick off his shoulder with a tissue.

[spirit_queen]

Svana giggled in his arms.

"No, I aged normally. I sprang from my father when I was fully grown, but I grew up in his stomach." Athena said. "And I can tell just from a cursory examination that whatever is acting as a catalyst to Xander's growth is not affecting our daughter." she said, letting her son gnaw a bit on her finger.

[Miranda_]

"Does that mean that he'll be older than her at one point?"

[spirit_queen]

"As far as it goes, she's older than him, but I know what you mean." She held Xander next to his sister, and Xander definetely looked a couple months older. "As for his body, it appears older. He is further along than she, and still going." She sudden'y frowned. "And I'm willing to bet the Shadows have a rather large role in all of this."

[Miranda_]

Heimdall sighed, looking miserable. "We can't do anything about it tho."

[spirit_queen]

"Unfortunately, he's going to go through a lot of growing pains." Athena said. "They'll most likely stop influencing him in such a way when his body is at the stage it would be for an average five-year-old." Athena kissed Xander's forehead.
