"when I finish that blasted spell, al who took the oath wil donate energy to help cast the spell. This thing is huge." Athena told him. "Nothing else is required of you." She said. she did not, of course, tell him that she actually had to go to the realm of the shadows to cast the spell, or that she might not make it out alive. No, she was still holding that off from everyone.

"Will the other gods who took the oath have to come here? Cuz otherwise, it would take energy from them over the distance and you'd need all you could get."

"It would be helpful but not necessary." Athena said.

[Miranda_]

"Still, it would be better to have them all here, just in case something happens."

[spirit_queen]

"There would be little to nothing we could do, at that point." Athena said. she sighed. "I'm just tired of the whole thing."

Loki held Rika, at first nervously, but then gaining confidence. He grinned at Freya. "She's beautiful. Just like her mother."

Heimdall went quiet. He hardly knew anything of the shadows, but he'd been scared of the one that had spoken to Athena in the basement. He undestood that they had to be stopped.

"By the way, Heimdall, that shadow you met was my shadow. you have one, too. As does every other deity that ever existed." She said, realizing she'd never told him anything about the shadows.

Freya smirked, "She better be. Birthing her was one of the hardest births I've ever been part of."

"Still not as hard as Sleipnir was. And you had pain relief, remember?"

Heimdall looked at Athena with some alarm.
