Freya just kept nodding, holding her stomach.

Soon, the taxi arrived and the driver beeped his horn. Loki carried Freya and an overnight bag to the taxi and gently lifted her in the back. Then he got in himself and told the driver to drive as fast as possible unless he wanted a birth in the back.

Athena sighed in relief when they were gone. It wasn't anything against them, she just didn't like the whole baby situation.

Freya tried to make her breaths more steady and slow, but it barely helped.

Loki didn't really have a clue how to handle the situation. He'd never really been at this end before; he'd never been present at any of his kids' births and had no intention of being present at this one's birth, either.

Freya thought that Loki would stick by her the whole time. That's what she hoped, at least.

Soon the taxi arrived at the hospital.

"Right, I'll take you to the maternity ward, then I'm waiting in the waiting room."

"Y-you're not going to hold my hand when I'm giving birth?"

[Miranda_]

"I don't see why it's so important." Loki looked puzzled by Freya's request. "I never have before."

Athena picked Heimdal up off the floor. "This is bad, Heimdall. I'm bad with babies, and now there's gonna be one around twenty-four-seven." She said.
