Heimdall looked at the bird curiously.

Athena opened the window. And, in a movement faster than ortal eyes could see, let alone accomplish, scooped up the golden finch. The bird looked alarmed and struggled for freedom, but athena held it fast. She shut her eyes and her hands glowed faintly. When she opened them up, the bird flew away, its wing healed.

Heimdall watched Athena heal the bird. He had thought that the noise on the window meant an enemy.

Athena looked at Heimdall's expression and laughed. "That look is an odd one on a dog." She told him, patting his head. She shut the window. "But, honestly, why do you assume everyone's out to get you?"

[Miranda_]

Heimdall's expression switched to frustration, as in this form he couldn't speak.

"Oh, right! Duh!" Athena said, hitting herself in the forehead. "You can't speak! What kind of Wisdom Goddess am I?"

"But I want you there, Loki... It would mean a lot if you were there beside me."

[Miranda_]

Heimdall again couldn't reply. He looked down at the carpet.

Loki sighed. "None of the other lovers I had wanted me there. I'm not really sure of the point of me being there, to be honest. What can I do?"

"I don't know but you of all men should know that childbirth is not an easy task."

Athena pulled Heimdall inot her lap and scratched his back. "I'm sorry you had to take this form." she said. "But, it was either this, or get pounded by the others."
