Heimdall nodded; he longed for this kind of contact all the time he was around Athena, but she only seemed to be comfortable with doing anything when he was a puppy.
It was a relief for Athena to take a break from working on the spell; it didn't give her quite the headache it did when she was human, but it still was exhausting. The simple motion of rubbing back and forth was oddly soothing, and she was glad to be appreciated by someone, for once.
Heimdall was just happy to be with alone with Athena, tho it wasn't in quite the way he'd imagined, it was a relief to not be teased by Loki and Freya for once.
Athena got up and went to the window, then looked out. "It was just a bird. stupid thing ran into the window." The bird hopped around, and tried to flap its wings, but got nowehere. "Aww. Idiot broke its wing."
