Athena, curious, went to invetigate. "Oh, my." athena exclaimed. for there, beaneath the bridge she wa about to walk upon, was a dirty-faced child, sobbing and saying "I want my mommy" over and over to herself.

Athena neared the girl. "Hey." she said soflt, nearly wincing when she saw the desperate look in the child's eyes as she looked up.

"Where's my mommy?" The girl asked, the words nearly indistinct, blurred by emotion.

[Miranda_]

Loki sighed. "Just promise me you'll call if there's any trouble. And remember, I'm not happy about leaving you on your own like this. I just wish you'd trust me once in a while; I might not be perfect, but at least I won't ever leave you."

"I'm sure Od had a valid reason to leave..." Freya mumbled, unsure of herself. "I... Maybe I should go back with you..."

[Miranda_]

"He had no valid reason. He must have lost his mind, leaving a woman like you. I'd never do that."

"Maybe you're the one who's crazy... Maybe he was right to leave me." Freya sighed, "Let's just go home. I'll have to ride Sleipnir."

"Yeah. I'll help you up."

Freya gave him her hand and got up.

"Just hold on to his mane; he won't mind. Don't pull it tho." Loki slowly led the way back to the house.

Athena held out her hand. "I'll help you find her." The child took it tentatively, and Athena lead her back out into the streetlights. Interesting... it seems this child is one of the many distant relatives of mine... Athena thought. "Alright, little girl, what's your name?" She asked.

The child took her thumb out of her mouth to say, "Sophie."

"Sophie? That's a pretty name." Athena said reassuringly. "Okay now, Sophie, I'm going to help you find your mommy, okay?"

"'Kay." The child said, trusting Athena unconditionally.
