"I know how hard you work, how giving you are, and I know how often people disregard or conveniently seem to forget it- and I'm sorry," she said.

"It's not you that needs to apologise," Shaun replied. "Maybe I need to talk to Freya and Loki about Sky. This isn't the first time she's been rude to me like that; even if I'm not her parent, she has no right to speak to me like I'm trash."

"She's certainly been very snappy lately," Tina agreed. "And out of nowhere, too."

[Miranda_]

"I just hope that she's not pregnant again. Look at all the trouble it resulted in last time."

"I don't think she and Xander have -copulated- for a while, actually," Tina said after a moment.

[Miranda_]

"That's a relief," Shaun said. "I don't wish for my son to be turned into a dog again."

Tina was right - Sky barely even talked to Xander anymore. She always found herself too busy with school to make time for their relationship, and because of that, their relationship was slowly dying. It appeared that stress, lack of sleep, and PMS were the major contributors to her recent moodiness.

Xander sort of missed Sky, but felt that if she wanted to make things work, then she'd have found a way; after all, he took honors classes, was in a band, and still had some free time to himself. He got jealous when he had to watch Dustin and Svana go on dates, but he privately felt like he'd been doing all the work in the relationship, and what was the point in that?

"Neither do I. What do you say we go home and lay down for a while? We have a few hours before we have to pick them up again," Tina said.

Sky cared deeply for Xander, but her love for reading and academics seemed to outweigh her love for him. She would rather sit on the computer looking up random facts or read a good novel than go on a date. He was right that Sky could try harder, but it didn't seemed important to her. After the pregnancy scare had happened, she realized she's still young and has more important things to worry about than boys.

Cleo knocked on Xander's door. She had a homework question she was having difficulty with and since she was in the year below him, she thought he could help.

"Yeah, I need a break," Shaun replied. "Anyway, both Loki and Freya are at work, so I won't be able to talk to them about Sky til this evening."
