Set said goodbye, then hung up.

Meanwhile, Cleo was talking to Layla.

"My mum's mad at my dad now. Apparently your dad's ex-girlfriend slept with my dad, and now my mum wants to get back at her." She paused, "You dad must have the number, so maybe my mum will give in a little if she wants that number so badly."

[Miranda_]

"He does; he got it off the woman who interviewed him," said Layla. "But he wants your mom to do all the running before he'll give her the number."

"Yeah. But my mom's a little stubborn. I don't know how long it'll take until she gives in." Cleo changed the subject and asked, "How are things with Shaq? I think he's supposed to be coming home soon."

[Miranda_]

"They're OK," said Layla. "I think he wants me to go further, but I'm biding my time. I'm not about to become another notch on his bedpost; and he needs to learn to respect women a lot more before that happens."

Speaking of Shaq, he had just arrived home. He went upstairs and heard Layla and Cleo talking in Cleo's room. He knocked on the door and waited for a response.

Cleo was writing something down in her journal, so she asked Layla to get the door.

Layla got up and opened the door. "Oh, hi Shaq," she said, as soon as she saw who it was.

Shaq grinned, "Hey there, babe. I heard your voice and thought I'd come by to say hello." He kissed Layla.

Cleo looked up and saw who it is. She shyly put her journal away and rushed out the door, mumbling about having some work to do downstairs. xD

Layla smiled at Shaq. "Nice to see you, too. You should come visit more often."
