"But not... cold." Sky sighed. "Coolish. I can only make it real cold when I'm nervous."

Isis said she would.

Cleo nodded, "I understand, father. But everyone else seems to be special..."

Xander kissed her cheek. "So, what exactly happens in your mind when you're nervous? What triggers your power? that's the key."

"You are special, Cleo." Osiris said. "You just have to- to bloom into your powers like a flower; right now you're a bud."

Sky blushed, and the room got a little more chilly. "I'm not sure." She said, while writing down a couple observations in a notebook she had out. "I get that butterfly feeling in my stomach, but I'm not sure what goes on in my brain."

Cleo smiled, "Flower's are pretty, and special."

"Maybe it's because you're actually not thinking too hard about it; you just let it happen." Xander shivered. "Okay, now it's chilly."

"Yes, they are." Osiris said.

"It's because you kissed my cheek and I wasn't expecting it. It's weird, you would think that since blushing is a reaction to your body that makes you warmer, than I should make the room hot, and not cold." She paused, "Thinking back, the first time things got real cold was in the hot tub, when we... um... well, it's not important. All that's important, is that I got really nervous and was around warmth. I find that odd, don't you? And maybe I'm concentrating too hard on making things cold. Supposedly, if it's warmth I need to make things colder, maybe I need to make myself feel warm by thinking about something that makes me blush, or even makes me angry."

Sky paused, "Actually, that makes some sense. It also explains why I can't really feel the changes to the temperature as much as those around me. My powers are trying to cool things down for me when I get too warm, instead of how most people's body's create sweat to keep cool." She suddenly wrote like a madman in her notebook.


"Do you think I'm pretty, daddy?" Cleo asked.

"I think you're beautiful, like a red rose, ro a carnation, if we're sticking to flowers." Osiris said. "Why?"

Xander blushed. XD "Wow. You're pretty good at this; with my power, it was trial-and-error."

"I dunno, mum just keeps telling me that I'd look prettier with darker hair." Cleo shrugged.

"Oh, thanks. It's all simple logic, really." xD Sky blushed as well.

"Your mum says that ecuse she wants you to give in, and because she really, really doesn't like you Uncle Set." Osiris said.

Xander chuckled. "I dind't use any logic. I just sort of played around."

"Why not?" Asked Cleo.

"Well, I'm always thinking, so..." Sky blushed some more and smiled a little.

"Oh, just a lot of reasons. The firs tbeing that a long, long time ago he killed me and chopped up my body. Your mum had to go and find the pieces to put me together again. On top of that, he's g@y, which means he likes men instead of women, which isis thinks is wrong. I don't like it either, but I won't hate somebody for it anymore. And your brother once accused Set of raping him. So, basically, there's just a long, long history between us." Osiris said.

Xander took her hand. "I like that about you; you're very smart."
