Keiko walked back into Remy's house and sat down beside him. "Life is unfair, isn't it?"

[Miranda_]

"Yeah. Always has been and always will be." He pointed wordlessly at the screen. "Now I know my dad definitely killed my mum; but, he's gotten away with it."

[TheHayleyDoll]

"Always has been for us... the more fortunate people have near perfect lives..." Keiko sighed. "My brothers were evicted a few days ago and now I have no idea where they are."

[Miranda_]

"There must be someone who'd know. Your brothers are just kids, right? So, maybe the council know something."

[TheHayleyDoll]

"Yeah... my brothers are only 12 and 14... They're still young... The 12 year old, Cameron, is a cocaine addict so they're probably dead poor by now. And my older one, Shaq, doesn't really do anything at all. He pretty much just eats, sleeps, and works. I have an idea on where else they could be though."

[Miranda_]

"Where do you think they are, then? And if one of your brothers is a drug addict, I couldn't have him stay here. My landlady, despite her addiction to Prozac, doesn't like drugs." Remy rolled his eyes. "That's why, if I smoke anything, I do it well away from here."

"Oh... maybe I could just go back on the streets with them. Or get another sh*t hole of a appartment room. Besides gaining a few pounds-because I'm actually eating-I have the same body shape and everything... I could probably get back into my old profession. It's my youngest brother, so he wouldn't be able to live alone on the streets. I couldn't let that happen. Thanks for your help though, Remy. Thank Tia too for me, okay?" Keiko said, standing up.

[Miranda_]

Remy automatically reached for her. "No! Don't go. We can work something out about your brother; maybe get him off the drugs. I don't want you to go... you see..." Remy faltered, then said quietly, "I really like you. And I don't want you to go back to selling yourself. I could get some money some other way, rather than have you do that."

Keiko didn't even know where to start. She smiled, "Thank you... Really... I... You're one of the first guys, other then my brothers of course, that don't seem to just want one thing from me... You were one of my first friends after my family moved on the streets. Thanks so much, Remy... But Cameron... he's a great kid, really... He helped me out with everything... drugs are just one of his faults... It's because of me he has it, though. I was a crack addict and it made me seem more upbeat and happy and less... stressed. Cameron didn't even know the downfalls of it at that time, he just knew it helped me stay unstressed and... yeah..." She paused and kissed Remy's cheek. "I really like you, too, Remy..."

[Miranda_]

"So please say you'll stay. I can help you with your brothers and maybe, you can help me get justice for my mother."
