Loki rolled his eyes. "I get it; you can have a go at me, and say I'm crap in bed; but the moment I do it back to you, you throw a tantrum. Talk about a double standard. If you want to leave, feel free; just understand that I'll be going for full custody, and you'll never see the girls ever again. I'll get it, too."
Dustin sighed, too. "It's going to be hell here unless certain people sort out their differences. I can see problems happening in the Egyptian side, too; I doubt that Isis and Osiris will leave Set alone, no matter what they might say. And then there's your parents at each other's throats. Wish we could find a way to stop them once and for all. I'll come with you; I'm getting a headache from all the shouting." ![]() |

"You enjoy making me miserable, don't you? In any case, I don't care, Loki. Maybe I'll find some other man, get married to him, and then I'll start a new family. The girls will understand. I'll write letters to them, and I'll call them. You can't stop me from having contact with our daughters. I went through the pregnancy, I'm their mother." Freya said, calming down a bit. She pretty much gave up. Loki always had to have his way, no point in fighting it.
Rika went outside with Dustin before saying, "Do you think my parents will get through this?" |

"Now you know how I feel when you start throwing things at me and insulting me. You think I like it? I doubt you ever think of anyone cept for yourself." Loki froze up; he could sense that his shadow was near. He was nearly at breaking point; all the fighting with Freya had weakened his resistance to the shadow.
"I don't know," Dustin replied. From where he and Rika were, he could see Svana standing with Set outside the window. "They really need to stop hurting each other like they are doing. And to properly talk things thru, not just shout." ![]() |

"Whatever, Loki. I have nothing more to say to you. This relationship is going down the toilet. You go to sleep. I'll be going out tonight. I'm not sure when I'll be back, or even if I will come back at all. Maybe I'll find the man of my dreams tonight." She paused, "Don't get me wrong, Loki. I'm sure, one day, you'll make some girl very happy. But that girl isn't me, and now definitely isn't the right time for us. We've had our fun, maybe it's time we both grow up a little and settle down."
Rika just nodded. |

That was the worst thing that Freya could have said; it was the straw that broke the camel's back and allowed the shadow to possess Loki. He fell to the floor.
"Honestly, it's like one of those crappy soap operas on TV," said Dustin. "Or maybe Jerry Springer." ![]() |

"Loki?" Freya rushed over to him and knelled beside him, "Baby, are you all right? I'm sorry. Maybe I just shouldn't talk anymore. I'm really sorry. Please, get up." She pleaded, holding his hand. She was acting as though the whole conversation that just happened no longer existed. Really, in her mind, it didn't. She was too concerned about Loki, for she really did love him, to care about stupid arguments.
"Yeah..." Rika looked up at the night sky and sat down at the edge of the deck, letting her legs dangle. |

In his mind, Loki was struggling with the shadow. He was trying as hard as he could to eject it, however it took nearly all his strength before he was able to. He slowly opened his eyes.
"Someone needs to tell them that; I bet your mother would hate it if she was compared to one of those trailer trash women who's on that show." ![]() |
