"They all seem to think my ideas are stupid, so they probably think I sound stupid. It's like they don't remember how terrible he can be to me, and they only remember my faults." Freya said.

"Thanks. It's money, I guess." Loki ordered another drink.

"If he's so terrible, why are you still with him? Mind, I'm not telling you to go and break with him, I'm just trying to understand what exactly's going on." she said.

"He won't really let me leave. Whenever I tried to, he'd accuse me of being a terrible mother and he said I'd never get custody because of my... my past working the streets. Then he'd say that he'd hurt whatever man I get with. He uses blackmail to make me stay." Freya told her.

"Oh?" Mrs. McGregor said. "Do you think maybe I could talk to your boyfreind, too?" She asked. "I like to hear every side of the story... and I'm becoming a bit concerned for you; I'd like to meet him myself and make a decision."

"Do you want me to call his cell phone right now?" Freya asked.

"No, I meant he should come in on his own time; I want to talk to him alone. i might bring you two in together some other time." the therapist said.

"Oh. I'll get him to come in tomorrow then." Freya said quietly. "Can I go now?"
