Loki slipped the other ring on to Freya's finger.

"My relationship with Od didn't work out; he just got up and left. But I still want to get married. It's a symbol of affection. Just because we're not married doesn't mean were immune from breaking up. Whatever might happen during a marriage would probably happen anyway. I don't mean to force you into it, but you know ever little girl dreams of her wedding day. Shaun and Tina are getting married."

"So? We don't have to do everything they do."

"I know, but it would be nice to be able to call you my husband."

"I just can't go thru with it. I'm tired of explaining why, as you don't seem to understand no matter how many times I explain."

Freya sighed, "Just wear the ring, okay? I want to have some token of a commitment and I bought it for you. There's a reason I didn't buy engagement rights. I didn't want you to feel pressured. I just wanted to show you that I was willing to commit to you because I love you."

"I will wear the ring, and I'd be happy to do so. I just don't want to be pressganged into doing something I don't want to do."

"I get it." Freya sighed. "I'm going to go soak in the hot tub. Oh, and Sky had a miscarriage, by the way."
