Sky looked at her. "No. What happened?"

"Well, did you know that one of my many names was Athena Parthenos? That translates as Athena the Virgin, and I was called that for a reason." Tina said. "When your parents and I moved inot this house, your parents got this idea of throwing a party. Shaun and I decided to go with it. At the time, Shaun was only a good friend, though I knew full well he liked me a lot." She cleared her throat. "The party was huge, obviously, and Shaun and I retreated to the less-crowded kitchen. We poured ourselves some drinks, not reall realising they had alcohol in them." she said. "We got drunk. We kissed. We went upstairs." She sighed. "those memories are real fuzzy." Tina paused. "But could you imagine? I woke up in the nude next to a guy I considered a friend, realizing what I'd done, how stupid I'd been. I freaked. I all but threw a tantrum."

"Well you didn't have your parents around to be 'disappointed' in you."

"No. But you don't know how disappointed in myself I was; I was a virgin goddess, I wanted to represent how a woman dind't need a man to be happy, and I'd actually made a vow to never marry, or give up my virginity." Tina said. "Then your mom found me, and brought me back to my senses. She made me think about it all, about how the guy i'd given it to was -well, still is- a very kind man who already liked me, how it could have been worse, and that when one door closes, another opens." she said. "So I gave Shaun a chance, then I fell for him, and now we plan to marry." She paused. "The point is to not beat yourself up over something you can't undo. actually, if you think about it, a new door opened; freaking out over being with xander that intimately awakened your powers. Sure, you can't control them yet, but now you know for sure they're there, and what they do."

"Great... powers. I'm still unsafe."

"We're taking precautions." Tina said. "Actually, I've been thinking of something else we could do." tina said, half to herself.

"Won't this person just leave me alone now that I've lost my virginity? You said she was after us because we were virgin goddesses."

[spirit_queen]

"I meant to say innocent virgin goddesses." Tina said. "You lost your virginity, but not your innocence; to lose that, you'd have to become completely worldly and superficial, a murderer, and, well, everything that's not good." Tina said. "And, even if you did, how would this woman know? That would only prevent the spell from working, not prevent her from attempting kidnap."

Sky sighed, "So I did that for nothing. Can't wait until my parents hear about this." Sky said sarcastically. She knew her dad didn't trust Xander mush, and this definitely would not help the matter.

Meanwhile, Shaun had finally got round to talking to Dustin about always using protection. He squirmed with embarrassment about the subject, but felt that he had to talk about it sooner rather than later. Dustin was no less embarrassed, but he saw the point and promised to use protection all the time in future. He certainly didn't want a child, not at this time in any case.
