Jakob sighed. "My dad passed away a few years back. We never had enough life insurance on him to really worry about claiming it." Yet another lie...

"My father would never get life insurance. He'd be too worried about me offing him to get it." Remy laughed at that. Usually when he said something like that, ppl would wonder as to whether he was joking or serious.

"Wow... Yeah, I have no dad, either. Or no momma. Died from starvation and drug abuse. I look after my two brothers. I had five. Three died." Keiko looked up at the sky. "Offing him? He really thought you'd do that?"

Jakob raised his eyebrows. "We got his life insurance when my parents got lucky enough to both get a raise..."

Tina's mom started to throw a fit, so Tina unlocked the front door, heading out to the front porch. She sat on the porch swing, knowing by now to stay out of her mom's way on a morning like this. Tina still had the Sword, laying across her lap, and had an odd feeling that she shouldn't let it go.

Her mom stormed around the house, rambling on and on about how this was the second time this month she missed church, but Tina ignored her, instead watching passersby.

"He thinks it, yeah. Doesn't mean I'd actually do it; he tends to judge me by his own ideals."

Keiko yawned. She didn't get the best sleep. Hasn't had a good sleep for awhile. "My parents spent all their money on alcohol..."

The neighbors did not freak at Claire's rampage; sadly, they were all used to it. So, Charles continued mowing the law, Daisy finished painting her trim, Monique still lathere sunscreen onto her two young children. Yep, all was normal in this neighborehood. So then why did Tina have this feeling of anxiety growing within her, as if she were waiting for something bad to happen.

Jakob sighed. "My father smoked, died of lung cancer. Says I got addicted to the smell of it, and when he died, I missed the smell and started smoking."

"Dunno what my dad does; it's probably illegal tho, cuz he's out the house a lot. I don't care, it's better when he's not there. Cept I'm hoping he won't be arrested til after I'm 16, otherwise I won't be able to stay in the house alone." Remy moodily turned his cigarette over in his hand.
