Sky let him get the skates and couldn't wait to get on the rink.

Xander put his on, then gave Sky hers.

"She's upstairs, moping."

[spirit_queen]

"Moping? Why?" Jasper asked, surprised.

Sky put on the skates and stood up, grabbing on to Xander's arm.

Xander grinned, then escorted her to the rink. "We'll start out slow."

Shaun told Jasper pretty much everything he and Lindsey had just discussed, including all the lies she'd told, her emotional blackmail, and also about the abuse she'd meted out to him. He found it difficult to talk about it, but felt that to be honest was the best policy in this, and indeed every, situation. He just wished that Lindsey could grasp that concept.

Jasper let out a huff of air. "I should go talk to her, shouldn't I?"

Sky agreed. Slow was good.

Lindsey didn't really want to talk to anyone. She was almost sure that Shaun would tell Jasper everything and that he'd break up with her.

"Yeah; you should." Shaun looked miserable. "I don't want to cause trouble between the two of you, but I equally don't want her telling you all sorts of nasty lies about me, and trying to ruin my life while she betters hers. I guess I don't see why she can't be happy and honest, rather than stomping me down in order to raise herself high. Also, she needs to face up to things rather than just running away when things get bad. It's not fair on Dustin when she threatens to leave; that's her favourite method of emotional blackmail. She just puts him thru hell every time she does it, and then turns around and puts all the blame on to me, rather than taking responsibility for her own actions."
