"Did you happen to mention your physical and emotional abuse of me, which provoked your eviction? Or did you just happen to forget to say anything? I have pictures, you know, as proof."

"Still, I was pregnant with your son! Did none of that matter to you? But, of course, Dustin doesn't even realize that. He thinks you're much more innocent then I am, and I'm betting he loves you more then he does me."

[Miranda_]

Shaun sighed. "Lindsey, you've got to realise that you can't ever be happy if you try and make me look bad in order to make yourself look better. Especially not with Jasper; I've known him and worked alongside him for years; you've only known him five minutes. Sooner or later, everything you told him about me will be exposed as the lies they are, and you'll lose everything. Is that what you want?"

"Besides, the fact that you were pregnant does not excuse what you did to me, no matter what you seem to think. You practically destroyed me; if I had been human, I might have seen suicide as the only way out at the lowest point. You hit me, treated me like a slave and hurled abuse at me; I can't understand why you think that's perfectly alright, while what I did, at the point of utter desperation, is the worst thing ever."

After they finished, Xander sad. "So, what now?"

Tian was in the kitchen, and was listening, but she wasn't gonna interfere.

"I said I was sorry for all that. I don't think it was a good thing for me to do to you at all. You don't understand what it's like being homeless and pregnant at the same time. It's hard. And to know that the baby's father cared so little about myself and Dustin when I was eight months pregnant and was the one who evicted me just made it harder. I had to work day and night to give Dustin a good life. I sacrificed everything that I wanted and needed to give him the childhood that I always wanted my children to have."

Sky shrugged. "Whatever you want."

Tina rolled her eyes over in the kitchen; Lindsey had spent a lot of her money on expensive brands Dustin did not need, when she coudl've gotten cheaper things that were practically the same.

"Let's go rollerblading, like that time you came to where i was staying when I ran off." He paused. "But, this time, we'll go to an open place; no spiders there."

"More like, you did so out of guilt, cuz you know what you always refused to admit; ie, that you were to blame for your eviction and no-one else, cuz of what you did to me. Let me put this to you in terms that you might understand better. If you'd done to Dustin what you did to me, you'd have been prosecuted for child abuse."

Lindsey started to cry, "I gave Dustin everything because I loved him more then anything. He was all I had. Poor Dustin doesn't understand that you never loved him and you probably wish he had never been born. That way you could have kicked me out and I would have never came back."

Sky laughed, "Certainly. If there's a 'no spiders' guarantee, why would I say no?"

Tina was really tempted to go in there and say soemthing about the expensive brands.

"I wish that he'd been born in a different way, but I loved him as a baby and I love him now. It wasn't his fault that he came to be in that way. Don't try and guilt trip me by emotional blackmail, and don't do that to him, either. You need to take some responsibility for what you've done, rather than trying to blame me for everything, and whitewashing your own crimes."
