"She'll probably try to get with Dustin when she needs some cash." Xander said, sighing. "your sister's not a horrible person, but she doesn't always make the best decisions."

Sky also sighed. "Rika's just very self-conscious and needs to feel like she's wanted."

"That's not much of an excuse to do some of the things she does. She relies on Dustin for money basically, and, no offense, I could see her using him for that if your parents really did kick her out."

"She takes the easy way out is all..." Sky muttered.

"Yeah, but someone needs to tell her that the easy way isn't necessarily the right way." Xander said.

"It's working for her so far. Look, Xander, you can't possibly understand how hard it was, and still is, for me to not fall into that mold that society believes I should be like. I'm not sure how things will be when we're finally in school, but I'm guessing it'll make it harder to remain who I am."

"I won't let you turn into sometihng fake." Xander said. "It goes against who I am... and we'll also be in school with my mom, who's can help; she's never conformed." Xander said. He wrapped an arm around her waist.

"I'm not worried I'll turn into something fake, the problem is that I'm scared I'll turn into something real. What if I start thinking that all this studying isn't worth it, and then I fall into that kind of lifestyle that I'm working so hard to work against? It's like I'm attached to a bungee cord that's super glued to a wall and the farther I try and push, the harder it is not to fall back."

"Wait... what?" Xander said. "What exactly do you think you'll turn into?"

"My sister couldn't fight it, Xander. It's what society wants from people like me. Some people think I have no future just because of the family I grew into... I must show them that they're wrong."
