She looked up to the sky and thrust the Sword into the ground. On it, there was a little amber peice- wait, that was far to gold to be just amber. Athena took it and removed it from the Sword. "This is the source of all the Sword's power. Actually, the Sword was built to half-mute the power of this thing, so that it could be controlled; without it, the power is wild." She paused. "For this spell, we need it in its base state, we need that raw power.

Freya worried they wouldn't be able to control it.

Athena turned around when she heard someone jumped down form a tree in the front lawn; Xander when posessed by his shadow. Looking into his eyes was like looking into an endless abyss.

But not just Xander was there, but Svana. she looked tired, or half-dead, though her skin seemed to be glowing faintly, her ksin shimmering a golden-orange. "You don't have as much control over that stone as you think you do." He said in a voice too smoothe and dark to possibly be Xander's.

Sky had been watching from her window and rushed outside when she saw Xander. "Svana! Xander, what did you do to her?!"

Freya tried pushing Sky back into the house. "Don't, Sky. It's too dangerous out here."

Xander laughed. "You'll have a harder time pushing back your daughter than you expect; if ever her powers awaken, she'll be quite a force to reckon with!"

Athena glared at Xander. "Explain what you're talking about. Not Sky, but the SoulStone."

"I don't need words." Xander said. "Just look at the glow on your daughter, then look at the glow on the stone. Athena's eyes widened; Svana's skin shimmered the same shade as the glow around the stone. "Ah. You see it. Well, I'm not going to be your typical American vaillain and do an old-fashioned monologue; I haven't the time."

"Sky doesn't have any powers. She's just a normal, smart, plain girl." Freya said persistently.
"Mum! I don't need to be reminded of my uselessness..."
"Just get back inside!" Freya shoved her back in through the door, then shut it.

Isis worried about Athena's son and daughter. She cared deeply about everyone's families and she wondered how much longer Svana could go without being too weak to live.

Anubis watched Xander carefully; he could see that the power that controlled the boy would be a lot weaker without its host body. He waited for a chance to lay hold of Xander.

Xander whispered something into Svana's ear, and she nodded, no expression crossing her usually animated face. She closed her eyes and started to glow; not just shimmer, but truly glow. And sow did the stone in Athena's hand, but more brightly. She had to shield her eyes, and the stone was getting hotter and hotter and that much harder to hold on to.

But she wasn't going down that easy, she fought back, tugging on the power of the stone and trying to seal it away.

Svana gasped as if in pain then, and Athena stopped, unable to do what was necessar if it hurt her daughter. Dark Xander just laughed.

Freya glared at Xander, "How could you do this to your own mother? Dark or not, it's still incredibly terrible of you."

Dark Xander shrugged. "I'm not the one you refer to as Xander, but the Shadow who inhabits his body; Xander's blood ties with his mother mean nothing to me."

Svana seemed to recover form whatever Athena had done, and both she and the stone began to resume inceasing the power at hand.

Athena's hand feltlike it ought to be melting; she screamed but didn't let go.
