Sky looked at her, "Fine, I ate the last of the ice cream. Big deal." She said, hoping that Tina was bluffing.

Tina chuckled. "It's good to know my son is alright, even if he can't come home."

Sky sighed, "I really like him, but I can't live with his shadow. My dad's worried I'm going to get myself into trouble hanging around him."

"The shadows thing will all be resolved tomorrow, anyway." Tina said.

Tina smiled. "I suppose it would, if you really do love my boy." She shook her head after a moment. "Ad it's clear you're lost."

Sky didn't say anything for a moment then asked, "Do you think I'm... unimportant and useless?"

"No, no." Tina said. "You're smart, sweet, don't make a mess like almost everon else, and actually care about your education."

"My education's all I have. My parents are drop outs. Rika's not going to school. I need to step up and support them with a real job when I''m older."
