"Well then telling him about my sacrifice will pretty much make him spontaneously combust." Athena said, sighing. "If he freaks out any more than he is, then he might becomecompletely useless, and the spell won't work."

Freya blinked, "You haven't told him? Athena... Guys like honest girls and, well, even though you haven't lied exactly it's still probably not great for your relationship. You know, if you end up still alive."

"I would rather be 'dishonest' and save this universe form a terrible fate by keeping my own fate from Heimdall than by telling him and having him go whacko, or emo, or whatever he'll do." Athena said, sighing. "It's billions of lives we're talking about here; if telling him what may happen endangers those lives, then I cannot tell him."

[Miranda_]

"What about afterwards tho? If you don't survive, who's going to tell him then?"

"Probably Freya, or something." Athena said. Her eyes wer shut now, and she wasn't looking at them; she might tear up any minute, but se was suttobnrly holding the tears back and controlling her voice.

"Oh, thanks." Freya said sarcastically. "He's going to feel worse if he finds out you knew and didn't tell him."

[Miranda_]

"You could at least leave him a letter in a sealed envelope."

"Well what the hell am I supposed to do?!" Athena finally broke. Tears slid down her cheeks, but her eyes were a mixture of conused emotions. she hand't meant to shout; it had just burt out of her. "Do you people expect me to be perfect, or something?! Well sorry to disappoint you, but living my life isn't as easy as you'd think.!" She turned away form them. "Just GO!"

Freya simply nodded and left the room.

Athena sat down and hugged her knees to her chest; her breathing was uneve, and hugging herself this way made the burning hole in her chest just slightly bearable. She was sort of choking out quiet sobs, and she was shaking real bad; she could only hope Heimdall didn't wake to see her this way.
