"I didn't know that. It was normal to me by then to expect to be slapped for no reason. And of course I expected Loki and Freya to hurt me, too."

[spirit_queen]

"They just messed with your mind." Athena said, shrugging. "They did it to me all the time before you came around, then you sort of took my place, I guess."

[Miranda_]

"I didn't know that then. I didn't really think about it."

[spirit_queen]

"I felt bad for you, actually. Especially since you sounded like the opposite of what little I read and knew of Norse myhtology; you were called the White God, and could occassionally catch glimpses of the future. you were suposed to be firm, and all that." she shook her head. "But, to my eyes, you looked and acted more like an abused two-year-old."

[Miranda_]

"That wasn't very far off what I was," he replied, sighing again. "I'm not sure if I can ever be what I once was, again tho."

[spirit_queen]

"Maybe not exactly what you once were, but you're a stronger person, and I guess, in this case, dwelling in that past of yours won't help your growth as a person." Athena said. "But you're not the only one who's changed since the old days."

[Miranda_]

"Really? I hadn't noticed."

[spirit_queen]

Athena laughed. "I don't know what Loki was like, but he's not like the legends; constantly pranking, teasing, finding mistresses. He's not quite like that. Then there's also me; the biggest change being I'm in a relationship at all. Surely you must know that I was one of two of the most well-known virgin goddesses."

[Miranda_]

"Yeah, I know that. I think that Loki should really have hooked up with Freya before; he shouldn't have married Sigyn at all and he only did so cuz he made her pregnant."

[spirit_queen]

Athena smirked. "huh. maybe it's her that's changed him. Interesting." she said.
