Gill turned to Alyssa. "Glad that's over." He said with a smile. "Did you want to tell me something?"

"Uh, Gill." Keith came up to Gill. "What I was going to tell the Captain is that those creatures were attacking because one of their babies somehow go below decks..."

"What? Oh, bloddy hell!" Gill ran his hands through his hair, and huffed. "Well, Keith, let's go see this creature of yours." He looked over at Alyssa. "Care to join us?" He asked, sending her a wry smile.

Aylssa giggled. "I'd love to."

I saw Keith, Gill, and Alyssa all talking. I decided to go see the damage. I slid down a rope and walked over there.

"You coming too, first mate? Well, I guess we'd all better see this thing. Keith, you lead the way!" Gill said. Keith nodded and led them below decks. He took them to the lowest level, and there were still a few holes un-patched. "Did I not tell you to- What the h.ell is that!?"

The baby elasmasaurus (science name) came forward, and made a sound that sounded almost like a "burr" in a high pitch. Keith went next to it and put his hand on its head. It was about as big as him, but one could tell it was a baby. "Those things that we killed, they were attacking us 'cuz this thing was on board. It's a baby of whatever those beasts are, and it's trapped on this ship." Gill blinked, unsure of what to say to Keith. "I was going to tell the captain that if we just put this thing in the water, they'd probably leave us alone." The creature butted its head against knee in a manner that was catlike, and Keith fell, making a splash in one of the puddles on the ground.

I stopped and looked at that thing. "Uh...ok."

"Perhaps I should get the captain. After all, it was his order that orphaned the thing." Gill said, scowling. "Or, wait." He smiled. "Perhaps his first mate ought to notify him."

The elasmasaurus flopped towards Alyssa, and burred again. "Whatever that thing is, it's deffinetly friendly. Or maybe that's because it's a baby." Keith said as he stood up, grimacing as his shoes made squishing noises.

I looked at him. "And what do you mean by that?"

Alyssa started to pet the creature and giggled. "He's sorta cute,"

"Oh, nothing. Just he might appreciate someone who's 'earned' her high ststus more than someone such as myself, who was pirate of the same status on another ship before he even was a pirate." Gill said, leaning against the wall, a somewhat wry and mischeivious smile on his face.

"Cute?" Keith asked. Then he shrugged. "He's got nice colors, assuming the thing is a 'he'."

I slapped him. "Don't even talk to me like that." I stormed up the stairs.
