Meanwhile, back in Atlantis, Lyon searched high and low for Jade. He went into her small hut and saw a screaming Elizabeth and a maid. "What happened? What's wrong with Elizabeth?"
"Just misses her mother, is all. Did you find her, or a father?"
Lyon swallowed. "Well... About that... I know exactly who the parents are. Let's just say... they're good friends of mine."

Linette kissed her husband, the prince of her clan. She was destined to be Queen, the prophet had told her, but not of which clan. His father was in his death bed, his mother long gone. She hoped he could handle being King at the ripe age of nineteen.

"Linette, my father is expected to die very soon," her husband said, walking in. He seemed perfectly fine with his father's death, although Linette knew he was sobbing inside. She nodded, and, taking his arm, swam to his room, where he lay, pale as a ghost, letting death overcome him.
